Terms & responsible use
Plain-language terms for a public predictive model. Sections 01-03 are the ones that matter most; read them even if you skip the rest.
This is not betting advice.
YardLine publishes statistical estimates for analysis and entertainment. Nothing on this site is a recommendation, solicitation, or inducement to place a wager, and no output should be treated as a prediction of any wagering outcome. We do not publish picks, we do not sell picks, and we take no advertising or affiliate revenue from sportsbooks.
Model outputs are probabilistic and frequently wrong in individual cases - that is what a probability means. If you choose to gamble, do so under the laws of your jurisdiction and at your own risk. If gambling is causing harm, the National Problem Gambling Helpline is available 24/7 at 1-800-522-4700.
No warranty, no guarantee of accuracy
The site and the model are provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. Estimates may be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect. To the extent permitted by law, YardLine is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on anything published here.
Data sources and attribution
Historical play-by-play data is provided by CollegeFootballData.com and used under its terms. YardLine is solely responsible for how that data is modeled and presented; the data provider makes no guarantee regarding prediction accuracy and does not endorse this project.
Team names and marks
School names, nicknames and records appear descriptively, to identify the games being analyzed. YardLine uses no institutional logos or trademarks, and no affiliation with or endorsement by any school, conference, or the NCAA is claimed or implied.
Acceptable use
Personal, non-commercial use is welcome, including sharing charts with attribution. Automated scraping, resale of outputs, and any use that presents YardLine estimates as betting guidance or as a paid picks service is prohibited.
Ages and jurisdiction
The site is a general-audience analytics publication and is not directed at gambling activity in any jurisdiction. Where local law restricts the publication or use of sports-probability content, it is your responsibility to comply.
Changes to the model and these terms
The model is versioned and may be retrained or replaced; historical charts are regenerated when it changes, and the version that produced a chart is always shown. Material changes to these terms are dated at the top of this page.
